Lower East Side, NYC

Journey to parts known and unknown, real and imagined, without ever crossing the street. Walk around the block — along Henry, Clinton, Madison, and Jefferson streets, circling the Gouverneur medical building — to view scenes from San Francisco to Istanbul, from the bucolic South to celestial bodies, from fantasy futurescapes to remembrances of things past, and more.

This public art exhibition is presented by Amos Eno Gallery and curated by its director Ellen Sturm Niz, in partnership with NYC Health & Hospitals/Gouverneur Skilled Nursing Facility and Arts in Medicine.

Located at 191 Henry St., Amos Eno Gallery is a nonprofit, artist-run gallery providing a full season of exhibitions by emerging and mid-career artists working in a variety of visual media. Our season is complemented by a diverse series of events and public programs. Founded in 1974, the gallery has been in continuous operation for more than 50 years, making it one of New York City’s oldest artist-run spaces.

Amos Eno Gallery's programs are made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature. Our gallery is also supported by the generosity of the Joseph Roberts Foundation.
