Charleen Kavleski

 

A graduate of SUNY New Paltz, Charleen Kavleski is a multi-media artist who synthesizes both systemic and random, palpable conceptual art with her family history of mason work and quiltmaking. Since 1982, her work has been in 17 solo shows in NYC with the last 4 in DUMBO and Bushwick, Brooklyn. Her work has also been in more than 250 group and prestigious juried shows in galleries and museums throughout the United States.

She has been an exhibiting member of the National Association of Women Artists since 1994, where she has won awards in painting in 1994 and 1996, and awards in digital art in 2014 and in works on paper in 2018. Other significant invitational shows and awards have included the Gallery Emanuel in Great Neck, NY; Los Angeles, California: Art Quest Museum Video Tour; Southport, North Carolina: Franking Square Gallery - Purchase Award; The New York Academy of Sciences and the United Nations Building, NYC; the Butler Institute of American Art, Youngstown, OH; The Schenectady Museum; Albany, NY: Center Galleries and the Empire State Concourse; "Women Artists of the Catskills," Sullivan County Art and Historical Society, Hurleyville, NY, among others. 

Kavleski is continuously listed in Marquis' Who's Who since 1995. In 2018, she was granted a "Lifetime of Achievement Award."
